Job Summary

Produces make-ready, makes necessary adjustments, and operates three large machines promptly to produce products according to specifications

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensures that the machines are set up correctly by preapproved blueline or sample; obtains approval from supervisor before proceeding

 

 • Uses ingenuity and creative thinking on most jobs to correct problems

 

• Effectively communicates with others to obtain clarification on job specifications when needed

 

• Uses the data collection system for tracking job cost, for time allocation of all jobs, and for keeping time and attendance

 

• Ensures that work area is clean

 

• Performs other related duties as required

 

Education & Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Four or more years of bindery experience

 

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Job Knowledge & Skills

 

• Ability to set-up and operate at least three large bindery machines

 

 • Mechanical aptitude for bindery equipment
