Job Summary

This role will design the Global Security technical solution and processes for divisional planning, work management, resource management, and strategic alignment. Utilizing an entrepreneurial and strategic approach, leads and manages large-scale projects supporting the Global Security Strategic Roadmap.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Develops and designs the work management tool, providing support to ensure projects are accurately tracked and reported on. Develops and delivers reports on progress, milestones, and overall status of the portfolio. Develops and performs detailed capacity planning. 
  • Establishes agile practices in order to decrease costs and increase efficiency 
  • Manages one or more large, moderately to highly complex projects that are transformational and strategic in nature 
  • Assesses variances from the project plan; gathers metrics; develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope, time, cost, and quality objectives 
  • Gathers and further defines project requirements 
  • Develops best practices, project standards, procedures, and quality objectives, including metrics for assessing progress; uses established project standards, procedures, and quality objectives 
  • Develops detailed project plans and schedules 
  • Provides the technical project team with constructive feedback pertaining to project performance; uses past experiences to identify potential areas of improvement 
  • Manages all aspects of the design, development, and implementation of projects, such as staffing requirements and forming technical project teams 
  • Provides work direction and general technical project management to assigned projects, including scheduling, work assignments, and reviews project efforts to ensure that the project meets technical specifications as outlined in the conceptual and detail design documents 
  • Monitors project milestones, technical status, and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule; identifies ways to resolve schedule issues; keeps management aware of the situation 
  • Coaches or mentors less-experienced employees and provides technical assistance as required 
  • Establishes and maintains a productive working partnership with project sponsors, vendors, and key clients 
  • Conducts project kickoff meetings, communicates individual roles and project expectations, and ensures that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively 
  • Conducts formal review with business sponsor at project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction; tracks and responds appropriately to client satisfaction levels 
  • Performs other related duties as required


Education & Experience Required 

  • Minimum Required Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field 
  • Minimum Required Six or more years of information security, project management experience or other relevant work experience
  • Minimum Required Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodology of project management, quality management, and change management


Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • End user and administration experience with Jira to include user management, security & permission schemes, add-ons, plugins, and extensions, etc. 
  • Clear understanding of Information Security Frameworks such as NIST and ISO 
  • Experience with project initiation, planning, task management, and agile methodologies
