What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the methods, practices, and techniques of maintaining building and ground operations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the equipment, tools, and materials used in building and grounds maintenance
- Ability to read and understand building mechanical and electrical system blueprints and technical documents
- Ability to keep detailed records of activities performed
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability with the company insurance carrier
- Possess DOT Health Card to drive a vehicle of 10,001 lbs or more
- Ability to operate a forklift
Education & Experience Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two to four years of job-specific experience to include carpentry, electrical, masonry, painting, plumbing
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Participates in monitoring performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the facility; performs standard repair/replacement of components, as appropriate, and minor maintenance tasks such as cleaning of heating and cooling fan coil units and adjustment of system controls
- Performs basic maintenance of plumbing systems, such as standard repair of leaking fixtures and/or performing nontechnical modifications to plumbing and water supply systems
- Performs basic carpentry maintenance tasks, including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and countertop replacement, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation; paints interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate
- Responsible for general maintenance work requests; documents facilities maintenance requirements and maintains appropriate records of work performed
- Performs preventive maintenance tasks as assigned
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Assembles, disassembles and modifies several different types of modular office systems furniture; assists with preparation for special events, such as meeting setups, assembling tens, and rearranging office furniture
- Performs other related duties as required
Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $45,000 to $55,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
