Multiple Positions 

Job Summary

 

Plans, organizes, and implements project plans for process improvement implementations to include defining, measuring, analyzing, improving and controlling processes owned by various business units; conducts root cause analysis to recommend quality/service enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve business performance; uses knowledge of processes and partners with project team to effectively address the customer’s needs and initiates timely actions to meet them

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

 

Leads and implements Rapid Improvement Events, partners with project manager to support small to large efforts or leads a small effort independently.

 

Creates current and future state process maps from which procedures and operational processes are developed; identifies process bottlenecks and determines cross-departmental impacts; ensures that appropriate analyses is applied (to include the use of Six Sigma/Lean tools) to business unit issues in an effort to provide the best resolution and satisfy our internal and external customers; provide recommendations for implementing suggested process improvements

 

Documents and communicates accurate project artifacts, including but not limited to project charters, communication plans, risk/issue mitigation plans, project plans, transition plans, and other outputs derived from customer discussions; houses all project deliverables in central repository

 

Ensures process improvement implementations are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to documented standards; manages business unit expectations of initiatives and projects; attends or facilitates all assigned project meetings to assure appropriate capturing and communication of action items, decisions and progress

 

Creates specific reporting tools/methods to capture and track critical success measures/business goals; derives quantitative impact of process changes; reviews analyses of those reports with management

 

Manages the human experience of project implementation to include but not limited to the

development and deployment of stakeholder engagement and user adoption planning, Sponsor

roadmaps, communication plans, resistance plans

 

Ensures that all changes in the processes/procedures, including new system implementation and/or upgrades are documented and communicated to the business unit and other affected departments before project implementation

 

Some travel may be required

 

Performs other duties as assigned

 

Education & Experience

 

Minimum Required Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

 

Preferred Lean or Six Sigma certification or equivalent

 

Minimum Required Four years of professional job related work experience performing business analysis, developing business and/or technical documentation for end-users, and

creating process flows

 

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

Job Knowledge & Skills

 

An understanding of business operations, requirements processes, and business modeling concepts

 

Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodology of project management, process

improvement, and change management

 

Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communication and team facilitation skills to effectively interact and negotiate with senior management, internal and external customers, and ability to synthesize and decide best communication approaches for providing recommendations

 

Strong analytical skills to interpret and adapt known methods and/or operating concepts

 

Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment

 

Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of experience

 

Ability to multi-task and participate on multiple teams at one time, while maintaining a high level of customer service and focus on commitments

 

Ability to document systematic and manual operations procedures in both technical and user friendly language, e.g., process flows

 

Ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high quality material with meticulous attention to detail

 

Intermediate knowledge and skill level in Microsoft Excel

 

Advanced knowledge and skill level in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio or similar process

mapping software

 

Advanced knowledge and skill level in Business Processes

 

Intermediate knowledge and skill level in Business Cost Benefit Analysis and Business Definition Requirements

 

Basic knowledge and skill level in Business Case Preparation
