Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Extensive knowledge of account management concepts, operating principles, and methodology applicable to client relationship management, account implementation and enrollment; a very high degree of skill in applying this knowledge to the analysis and resolution of very complex or sensitive problems related to client relationship management, account implementation and enrollment, and in applying new developments and methodologies to business requirements
- Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and insurance requirements
- Ability to lead, manage, develop, and train remotely with leaders and teams in multiple locations
- Broad knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to the insurance industry and marketing
- Knowledge of budgeting and expense control to plan, implement, and control expenditures of funds while maintaining and improving quality standards
- Knowledge of employee relations to conduct and deal with employee issues in a proactive manner
- Demonstrated ability to apply operations management and business process re-engineering tools and techniques to a wide variety of business techniques
- Strong project management, leadership, and practice development skills
- Strong personal computer skills with experience in Windows-based software; experience using Microsoft Outlook or a similar e-mail system software
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with Aflac’s senior management and internal and external contacts

Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
- 8 - 10 years of progressively responsible work-related experience
- 5 years in a management or leadership capacity
- Experience managing projects in a complex business environment involving multiple business issues
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- Experience in the insurance industry
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages and oversees initiatives and activities that provide operational support to Account/Client Relations within both Aflac Group and Individual; manages the development of effective new client relationships, growing and retaining current client accounts and managing client expectations to ensure exceptional program performance; manages the completion of processes associated with account setup, enrollment/re-enrollment, and enrollment control requirements; ensures timely and accurate client reporting, site visits, call monitoring, and interaction between client, senior management, technology, and operations departments
- Formulates strategies, plans, policies, and procedures based on operational analysis to maximize current operations or to plan for large-scale operational changes; analyzes technology uses in terms of manpower requirements, finding best mix in terms of short-term cost, long-term operating effects and plans, service quality, and output requirements
- Assists with the development of long-range visionary strategic plans and annual budget for the division and ensures that operations are managed within authorized budgets; advises, consults, and coordinates activities with division management, other departments within the division, and external customers
- Develops, reviews, and approves budgets, plans, and goals for the control of planned production, budget spending, labor efficiency, materials efficiency, engineering effectiveness on capital spending, quality, and human capital
- Stays abreast of current trends and best practices in enrollment and implementation, functional operations, and technology; directs and appraises performance of all operational functions for the departments; participates in key management activities and committees; maintains appropriate communications within area of responsibility, advising division senior management accordingly
- Reviews and interprets performance against operating plans and standards for the division; provides information and reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in plans; presents monthly reports on performance; develops and presents matters requiring decisions to key management team for the division
- Help identify risk and mitigation plans, when applicable

Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $110,000 - $130,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
