Job Summary


Serves as a consultant between IT and business partners on highly complex projects; identifies and communicates business needs and translates them into business and technical requirements from which solutions can be implemented; determines if internal or external solutions exist or whether new solutions are needed; determines if these solutions impact existing work processes and systems as well as ensures proper integration; makes recommendations for buy vs. build decisions for possible solutions


Principal Duties & Responsibilities


• Serves as a consultant and senior-level project team member or leader working on highly complex and or highly visible projects

• Serves as liaison between the business partners and IT to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and maintain established business relationships

• Leads and or assists with project deliverables such as project initiation requests, business and technical requirements, use cases, interface specifications, business architecture models, process models, cost/benefit analysis, risk and issue logs, test plans, training plans and elevation / validation plans.

• Spearheads or leads business process modeling efforts to model complex current and future state business processes and performs gap analysis.

• Communicates complex technical concepts simply and effectively to non-technical team members

• Identifies opportunities that impact business strategy and system performance

• Conducts systems analysis with a focus on technical process models and use cases

• Collects research on the competition in terms of best practices, business processes, and procedures; pays particular attention to market strategies and product development; makes recommendations for buy vs. build decisions 

• Mentors and develops junior team members into resources with higher skill sets.

• Ability to communicate complex issues and solutions to Exec./Sr. Management

• Provides testing support and analysis for defect resolution

• Performs other related duties as required


Professional - Education & Experience


Qualification Level Education Degree Specification

Minimum Required Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field


Qualification Level Experience

Minimum Required Five or more years of professional job related work experience in business process modeling/mapping methodologies development, and data modeling experience

Minimum Required Demonstrated experience in developing projects across all phases of the project life cycle; demonstrated experience in developing functional specifications, , user interface designs/wireframes,

Minimum Required Advanced database skills with experience using MS Access, knowledge of how relational databases work

Minimum Required Knowledge of how systems support business operations, collection of technical requirements, and modeling concepts

Minimum Required Ability to apply statistical and other research methods into systems issues as required; review complex data and derive summary conclusions

Minimum Required BPMN notation Minimum Required Experience in working simultaneously with technical IT resources and nontechnical business resources and users Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Job Knowledge & Skills


• SAP Technical

  • Expert level working experience with SAP Business Warehouse, SAP BW on HANA (Required).
  • Deep understanding of SAP BW modeling, monitoring and administration.
  • Understanding of SAP Finance and HR modules
  • HANA modeling and query performance optimization expertise.
  • ABAP programming skills.
  • Ability to work with business on complex issues.
  • Working experience with SAP analytics cloud.
  • SAP BPC, in-depth budget and planning experience (BPC embedded preferred)
  • Analysis for Office 2.7 and higher
