Sr Consultant, Digital Tech


Job Summary

Supports the digital organization in the development of solutions for the business and customers; supports long-range visionary strategic plans; analyzes trends in technology; analyzes the impact of emerging technologies on the business and provides assessments and solutions to address technology and business issues; low-cost technology solutions aligned with customer and business needs and establishes relationships with employees and key stakeholders (internal and external).


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Works with the Information Technology leadership team to create a vision for the enterprise, and to identify the opportunities for differentiating digital capabilities and solutions (e.g. assess external digital opportunities and threats and digital realities)


Collaborates with others in the organization to identify new ways of interacting with members, employers, and other stakeholders


Develop a digital workplace strategy, architecture, and roadmap to maximize the effectiveness of individual employees, teams, work groups and communities


Partners with the IT leaders and senior management in providing technology vision and direction


Provides technical leadership to ensure fidelity of the strategy and architecture is carried through delivery by partners and development teams and solutions adhere to Digital Services standards and practices


Stays current with industry and overall technology trends in order to recommend and lead

integration of new technology


Partner with service delivery pillars to: plan, maintain and evolve solution architecture; troubleshoot and solve complex technology issues; and develop road map plans to implement the digital strategy of One Digital Aflac


Oversees internal and partner development teams by providing technical expertise and guidance


Provides leadership which articulates a clear and compelling vision of change


Acts as a champion and change agent in leading the organizational changes required to create and sustain enterprise digital capabilities


Develops and nurtures strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement and successful delivery of change


Works with IT subject matter experts to identify application impacts of transformation. Explores and identifies impacts to process, applications and infrastructure to support digital transformation


Performs other duties as assigned


Professional - Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems eight or more years of work related experience in IT/business operations, business operations, program/project management, ITIL/ITSM/service management, architecture and/or business process management, business modeling concepts, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Master's degree Business Administration, Computer Science, Information

Systems (Preferred)


Job Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced system development life cycle, dynamics of software development projects, and agile practices and methods


• Advanced to Expert in Lean Six Sigma


• Advanced to Expert in ITIL Foundations


• Advanced in DevOps/DevSecOps


• Experience and understanding of multiple programming languages and systems


• Experience and proven successful leadership of major complex improvement projects


• Understands the complexity of large operations with high volume transactional business
