Job Summary


The Collections Specialist is responsible executing Aflac Dental & Vision dunning processes for past due accounts. This role will strike a balance between maintaining trustful relationships and ensuring timely payments


Principal Duties & Responsibilities


• Manage and execute to Aflac’s automated dunning process by: monitoring accounts to identify outstanding debts, investigating historical data for each debt or bill, finding and contacting clients to ask about their overdue payments, taking actions to encourage timely debt payments

• Process payments and refunds.

• Resolve billing and customer credit issues.

• Update account status records and collection efforts.

• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.

• Reconcile accounts

• Performs other duties as required


Specialist - Education & Experience


Qualification Level Education Degree Specification

Minimum Required High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Bachelor's Degree Accounting, finance or related field


Qualification Level Experience

Minimum Required 2 years of previous job specific work experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role.

Preferred Collections or accounting experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
