Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement strategies that will increase number of active accounts, penetration of existing accounts, and acquisition of new accounts; accomplishment at both the individual, team, region, and preferably national level
- Proven track record of success leading a team of individuals to achieve increased sales dollars and account penetration
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and act as an advisor on professional issues with Aflac’s senior management, and internal and external business contacts

Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field
- 10 years of professional job-related work experience, 5 years management experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Drives strategic sales and in force block growth through broker relationships; develop and grow regional broker relationships in partnership with broker sales.
- Responsible for managing Aflac’s top regional broker relationships and drive these top brokers to premier status. Develop, establish, maintain, and guide relationships, processes and procedures.
- Provides company representation to our partners and competition, while providing leadership oversight and responsibility for various strategic alliances.
- Develops and maintains a holistic view of Aflac offerings and competitor and market conditions within the assigned area and identifies account segment opportunities.
- Directs and supports the RFP and closed sales process with broker sales including underwriting, finalist presentations, and implementation; provide ongoing feedback from RFP wins and losses to underwriting and pricing teams.
- Provide ongoing national stewardship with each assigned premier broker, to include in force and sales data reports, claims and utilization data, technology/administrative updates and product updates; ensure and support ongoing case level stewardship in partnership with Client Management.
- Manage groups with individual brokers during BOR changes or renewals to help avoid RFP and ensure groups remain with Aflac.
- Identify groups for potential product additions and drive those new additions.
- Oversees assigned premier broker bonus documents and communication.
- Acts as national escalation contact for each assigned premier broker to include, commissions, claims, assigned personnel (BSP, CM, etc.) and communication.
- Maintains subject matter expert knowledge over a complete line of products/services and clients’ issues and needs; uses professional skills and concepts to solve a variety of clients challenges.
- Stays abreast of current trends and best practices in enrollment and implementation, functional operations, and technology; directs and appraises performance of all functions of enrollment; participates in key management activities and committees.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $150,000 - $200,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
