Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Management, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other relevant business discipline
  • One to two years of job-related experience
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Insurance experience and knowledge

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains current model inventory and model certification process

 

• Coordinates with model owners to obtain necessary information/documentation in a timely manner (i.e. risk ratings, model documentation, change forms, etc.)

 

• Reviews model documentation and provides feedback to model owners

 

• Participates in Aflac’s annual model validation planning process; assisting senior members of the team with communication and reporting to appropriate stakeholders

 

• Documents issues related to the model risk program and works with model owners to update/maintain the issues log

 

• Assists with creating/updating Aflac’s ERM policies and procedures

 

• Provides analytical support in the development and implementation of KRI’s and limits for Aflac’s ERM department

 

• Assists with the creation of materials/presentations for cross-functional working groups, risk committees, and rating agencies

 

• Assists with the preparation of regulatory reporting requirements and other regulatory requests including the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) report

 

• Monitors developments in enterprise risk management modeling related to Solvency II, NAIC ORSA, and NAIC RBC

 

• Gathers risk management data and monitors certain limits for the top risks facing the organization in order to communicate to senior management

 

• Works closely with other areas of Aflac to assist with embedding a culture of risk management practices and problem-solving; builds effective working relationships with the key business stakeholders and risk owners; serves as a risk management advisor on key projects / initiatives and provides risk management education to the business

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $42,000 to $98,000.
