Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Extensive knowledge of account management concepts, operating principles, and methodology applicable to client relationship management, account implementation and enrollment; a very high degree of skill in applying this knowledge to the analysis and resolution of very complex or sensitive problems related to client relationship management, account implementation and enrollment, and in applying new developments and methodologies to business requirements
- Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and insurance requirements
- Ability to lead, manage, develop, and train remotely with leaders and teams in multiple locations
- Broad knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to the insurance industry and marketing
- Knowledge of budgeting and expense control to plan, implement, and control expenditures of funds while maintaining and improving quality standards
- Knowledge of employee relations to conduct and deal with employee issues in a proactive manner
- Demonstrated ability to apply operations management and business process re-engineering tools and techniques to a wide variety of business techniques
- Strong project management, leadership, and practice development skills
- Strong personal computer skills with experience in Windows-based software; experience using Microsoft Outlook or a similar e-mail system software
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with Aflac’s senior management and internal and external contacts
- Broad knowledge of Aflac products and systems related to account management and enrollment
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Management, Marketing or job-related field.
- 10 years of professional job-related work experience, 5 years management experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- Prior experience in relationship management, sales support, business retention and enrollment management

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Directs the overall account management function and teams responsible for servicing accounts, account growth, retention and relationships with clients, brokers and sales partners.
- Develops and implements services strategies to support the sales force in the acquisition of new accounts through relationships developed with brokers.
- Designs and executes service strategies, policies, and programs for Aflac products and services in conjunction with management; strives to maintain and consistently enhance Aflac’s competitive position in the marketplace.
- Develops and implements strategies relating to client retention, renewal sales and quality service; assists with proposals and product bundles for clients, and strategic planning of enrollment implementation. processes and execution.
- Assists with the strategic planning for client renewal and retention strategies for assigned clients and maintains productive working relationships with the sales team.
- Oversees the development of policies and guidelines for participation growth, upsell and cross sell opportunities.
- Maintains knowledge and expertise over a complete line of products and services; stays abreast of client issues and needs; directly manages the service relationship for assigned clients.
- Assists with the execution of long and short-term broker service strategy, to maximize sales with optimum return on investment.
- Collaborates with internal departments to develop and implement communication and servicing approaches that positively impact sales and marketing activities among brokers in various regional markets; strives to maintain and consistently enhance Aflac’s competitive position in the marketplace.
- Contributes to training programs for brokers; assists with the design of communication strategies and works with the marketing teams to deliver effective communications to the broker community.

Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $150,000 - $200,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
