Job Summary: Leads Operational activities for Aflac Global Ventures. Duties to include management of divisional operations, financial planning and forecasting, business analysis, executive management reporting, and decision support. Collaborates with leadership of all Aflac Global Ventures subsidiary organizations to produce standardized processes for communication, collaboration and reporting. Serves as a financial consultant and adviser for Aflac Global Ventures. Supports financial planning and analysis, expense management, reviewing of results, financial reporting, and preparing financial presentations. Partners effectively with peers across the organization to build relationships and understanding across the stakeholder groups, to serve dynamic business requirements, to ensure high quality reporting deliverables, and to integrate technology to automate and drive process improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with internal control and regulatory policies and financial requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drives financial planning and budgeting for Aflac Global Ventures and all underlying entities including relevant Japan entities and incubated businesses; Prepares forecasts and updates on a periodic basis; Performs quarterly expense analysis and reports on variances as needed
• Ensures accurate and timely recording and reporting of transactions, distributions, capital calls and other activities for investment entities globally; Manages venture investment return tracking and bench marking processes
• Collaborates effectively with Aflac Financial teams globally to include US, Japan and corporate teams to address all ongoing, quarterly and annual requirements; Supports transaction close and funding, working closely with Legal, Treasury and other Aflac teams
• Provides comprehensive financial reporting to support Aflac Global Ventures; Leads consolidation of financials for operating and investing subsidiaries, and preparation of financial statements; Works with Aflac internal teams on monthly/quarterly close
• Supports the operational needs of Aflac Global Ventures to include reporting, intercompany collaboration, and change management
• Prepares and supports business performance reporting; reviews and interprets operational results and tracks benefit realization
• Defines KPI/Dashboard/Metrics requirements and develops reporting to measure and monitor success relative to plans and milestones; presents KPI/Dashboard/Metrics to executive management in staff and governance meetings
• Acts as an operational consultant and adviser to both the President and Chief Financial Officer, Aflac Global Ventures and business unit leaders
• Assists with developing summary narrative to “tell the story” of the operations and financials; Develops presentation materials for key executive committees, leadership reviews, and board meetings
• Serves as the project management leader for AGV projects; leads PMO effort for key process improvement projects, growth initiatives and in the formation and acquisition of new entities
• Performs other duties as required
Professional - Education and Experience:
- Minimum required Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative field of study, preferred Masters Degree in similiar fields.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional job-related work experience across financial planning, & analysis; financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, investment accounting and/or operations. Working within an financial services firm is strong welcomed - equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA designation strongly welcomed

• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Advanced Excel and Intermediate PowerPoint skills
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other financial related federal regulations

Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Atlanta, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
The range on this positions is: $95,000 to $160,000 in Georgia
This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
