Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

 

  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. 

 

  • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

• Ability to analyze complex data, interpret trends, and develop actionable insights for project optimization

 

• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior management

• Proficiency in budget management, cost analysis, and financial reporting.

 

• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet) and enterprise portfolio management software.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, Information Technology, Business Management, Project Management or related field
  • Six or more years of project management, program management or other work-related experience
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, project management skills, and the ability to lead remote cross-functional teams to deliver robust security solutions is critical.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the intake process for new security requests, including assessment, prioritization, and alignment with strategic objectives

 

• Partner with stakeholders to capture security work requests, define scope, and assess resourcing needs

 

• Facilitate decision-making forums for intake approval and prioritization

 

• Track KPIs, OKRs, and key success metrics to drive accountability and transparency across the Global Security Program

 

• Prepare and deliver executive-level dashboards and reports on security program performance, risks, and value delivery

 

• Lead the planning and execution of tactical security projects, from initiation through delivery

 

• Assists in the creation of project artifacts and delivery of projects, providing support to project team throughout the project lifecycle

 

• Assesses variances from the project plan; gathers metrics; develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope, time, cost, and quality objectives

 

• Building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for security initiatives

 

• Identifying opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security program delivery requirements

 

• Monitors project milestones, technical status, and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule; identifies ways to resolve schedule issues; keeps management aware of the situation

 

• Establishes and maintains a productive working partnership with project sponsors, vendors, and key clients

 

• Performs other related duties as required

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $103,000 - $136,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
