Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Nexus certificate or related
  • Two or more years relevant records and information management experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Business partner and primary point of contact for assigned business divisions in assuring information lifecycle management and identifying record keeping requirements for information as it pertains to business functions and processes
  • Assist with requirements for system creation, migrations, or decommissions to assure integrity of records
  • Track and report against Information Governance program goals, control points, and compliance within respective business units
  • Analyze business processes to make decisions about record creation, capture, control, storage, and disposition. Advise of best practices and requirements to assure integrity of information
  • Educate and perform training onsite or web-based for assigned business divisions and other stakeholders on program compliance.
  • Direct and supervise physical records destruction processes; appropriately track physical holds in the records management inventory system
  • Conduct, analyze and provide results to support compliance audits. Advise on and collect remediation plans
  • Gather statistical data to support project requests and monthly metrics reports
  • Escalate to management issues that have an impact on information governance compliance and program performance and collaborate on potential solutions
  • Maintain program policies and procedures and suggest improvements as needed
  • Provide other duties as required.

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $65,000 to $85,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
