Worker Designation – This role is an onsite role. You will be required to work at the Aflac Support Center-West in Columbus, GA, during your set working schedule.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Ability to learn how to operate various mail processing equipment
- Knowledge of applicable shipping and mailing codes and requirements
- Knowledge of and ability to successfully perform all mail processing tasks within the team and to meet all established proficiencies, quotas, or other established productivity standards
- Knowledge of Aflac’s organizational and management structure
- Ability to read and understand instructions, add and subtract numbers, and compare numbers and letters
- Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work under general supervision, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with concentration, speed, and accuracy; ability to maintain establish service levels and to meet departmental requirements
- Ability to lift in excess of 60 pounds individually
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
Education & Experience Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One year of work related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- Prior job-specific work experience in mail processing
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates machines that automatically perform mail-processing operations; receives and reviews job specifications to determine equipment setup and operating requirements, enters computer job codes, sets up machines according to job specifications, loads appropriate output material (envelopes, printed documents, etc.), starts machines and makes a trial run to verify accuracy of machine setup; observes operations to detect machine malfunctions and makes adjustments as required
- Follows documented procedures or oral instructions to make the necessary equipment adjustments in accordance with the specifications of each job; assists with job audits to ensure that quality and accuracy are maintained and advises team lead about any discrepancies identified
- Follows documented procedures or oral instructions to perform basic operator preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment in good operating conditions and refers more complex issues or repair work to senior team members for resolution
- Performs all tasks and takes all precautions necessary to ensure that a safe and clean environment is maintained on the production floor; follows all appropriate documented safety and/or hazard policies or procedures while operating machines and other equipment
- Performs other duties as required
Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $33,280 to $40,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
