Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. 
  • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

 

Job Summary

Responsible for the overall management of dashboard and reporting activities within the organization. Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processes of dashboards, including but not limited to intake request, report/Adhoc report generation, quality assurance and delivery. Manages the process of collecting, analyzing, and delivering data reports or dashboard needs to meet business requests. Ensures that all reports and dashboards are accurate, timely and aligned with organizational objectives. Collaborates with various departments to understand their data needs and ensuring that data reporting team delivers high-quality outputs.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Proficiency with tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI and other BI software.
  • Understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Ability to create clear, actionable, visualizations that help stakeholders understand complex data.
  • Experience with reporting software and platforms.
  • Knowledge of employee relations to conduct and deal with employee issues in a proactive manner
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data trends, patterns and anomalies.

 

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business , Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5 - 7 or more years of professional job-related experience and 3 years in a leadership/supervisory/managerial capacity.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Proven experience with Reporting/BI tools and systems.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees the complete lifecycle of dashboards across all products, i.e, request intake through report delivery.
  • Manages the prioritization of dashboard requests to align with business goals and resource availability. 
  • Develops and maintains standardized process for dashboards to ensure efficiency and quality. 
  • Works closely with business units to understand their dashboard needs and translate these into actionable reporting task. 
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders regarding dashboard issues and inquires. 
  • Ensures that stakeholders are informed about the status of their dashboard requests and that their needs are met effectively. 
  • Continuously evaluate and improve dashboard processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy and responsiveness. 
  • Implement best practices in data management, reporting and visualization to improve the overall quality of reports.
  • Stays updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in dashboards and incorporate them into the organization’s processes. 
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all dashboards.
  • Conduct regular audits of dashboards and dashboard processes to identify and rectify any issues.
  • Ensures that data privacy and security standards are adhered to in all dashboard activities.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging dashboards to drive business insights and decision-making. 
  • Leads, motivate and develop a high performing team.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $125,000 to $145,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
