Worker Designation – This role is designated as a hybrid role, meaning that you will be expected to work at Tower Campus in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
• Strong personal computer skills with knowledge of applicable software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
• Strong understanding of Aflac’s SAP Master Data, hierarchies, and BPC applications used for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Knowledge of budgeting and expense control to plan, implement, and maximize expenditure of funds while maintaining and improving quality standards
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Ability to collaborate with multiple functions to reach a common agreement
• Knowledge of employee relations to conduct and deal with employee issues in a proactive manner
• Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with Aflac's senior management, internal and external business contacts
• Ability to exhibit and maintain professionalism in accordance with corporate standards
• Broad knowledge of Aflac products/services and systems preferred
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree In finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Eight years of professional job-related work experience
- Four years in a leadership/senior/supervisory capacity

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Leads team in tracking and managing budgetable expense levels against project business cases in support of Corporate FP&A, and in identifying and communicating opportunities to address variances, risks and opportunities in order to improve outcomes
• Supports standardization and process improvements to any/all elements of the planning / forecasting reporting / analysis processes
• Manages execution of end-to-end planning activity for a specific division or group of divisions, collaborating with division leadership for execution in accordance with defined standards
• Leads team in the production and delivery of all standard reporting (including template and chart updates), ad hoc reporting, presentation materials; and analysis for a specific division or segment, in accordance with defined standards
• Participates in process and project post-mortems, and incorporates findings into new guidelines
• Identifies services and customer expectations in collaboration with the FP&A Business Partners, Process Leads, and Corporate FP&A leader and ensures that the delivery of services is aligned with those expectations
• Works with FP&A Business Partners, data/master data “owners” and COE team to ensure that change requests (dimensions, hierarchies, members, reports, etc.) comply with guidelines
• Manages queue of change orders related to FP&A systems, working with Corporate IT to implement changes/fixes/solutions in a timely manner; oversees entire change order process, representing business stakeholders with Corporate IT and/or outside vendors throughout development, testing, and raising to production
• Acts as financial consultant and advisor to division (HR, IT, Compliance, etc.) leader or US FP&A contacts related to expense management; serves as point of contact to anticipate and identify FP&A needs, communicates and introduces service requests into FP&A organization, and collaborates with division leadership on expense management opportunities
• Interfaces with one or more division heads, and (as necessary) the FP&A Business Partner, to coordinate planning & forecasting services in alignment with customer requirements
• Works with Corporate FP&A leader to translate business customer needs into specific action plan for FP&A associates, and to balance workload and resource allocation to meet business needs
• Identifies services & customer expectations in collaboration with US FP&A, Process Leads and Corporate FP&A and ensures that the delivery of services is aligned with those expectations
• Collaborates with Corporate FP&A, US FP&A and their business partners to set and distribute annual expense targets that align function/division performance to enterprise objectives
• Collaborates with Corporate FP&A and US FP&A stakeholders in creating the annual expense plan and periodic forecasts
• Works with US FP&A, and operations and division leaders to operationalize plans, evaluate performance against plans, identify corrective action, and realign expectations as needed
• Develops and monitors expense management action plans, including variances to plan and future forecasts; drives understanding, analysis and resolution of root causes of performance gaps
• Supports Corporate FP&A and US FP&A in analyzing expense performance trends across business dimensions (e.g., channel, product, market, etc.) as needed; identifies risks and opportunities and the means to address
• As needed, assists Corporate FP&A and US FP&A with developing summary narratives to “tell the story” behind performance gaps and trends
• Challenges division management in applying analytical insights to improve expense control
• Owns all tasks relating to maintenance and updates of Corporate FP&A systems as specified and/or assigned by leadership
• Performs other duties as assigned

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $185,000.
