Worker Designation – This role is an onsite role. You will be required to work at the ASC in Columbus, Ga during your set working schedule.

  • Successful completion of Aflac annual Physical Fitness Program
  • Successful completion of a medical (DOT Physical) and psychological exam
  • Successful completion of annual taser training including Use of Force Training and taser familiarization training
  • Physical strength to lift up to 65 pounds

 

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Criminal Justice, Security Management or related field
  • Successful completion of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) and Certified in Security Supervisor Management (CSSM) course
  •  6+ years of experience in physical security management, preferably within a large organization.
  • 4+ years of experience in a supervisory/managerial/senior capacity in a related security 4 years of leadership experience.

 

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive physical security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Designs and oversees the installation of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems in partnership with facilities and vendors.
  • Manage and supervise security personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  •  Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to physical security.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and other external partners to enhance security measures.
  • Monitor and control budgets for physical security operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events and high-risk situations.
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents, breaches, and other issues promptly.
  • Prepare detailed reports on security status and incidents for senior management.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to assist with evacuations
  • Ability to help lead employees, vendors and guests to safety in emergency situations
  • Ability to observe, report and protect Aflac employees and assets Ability to help lead employees, vendors, and guests to safety in an emergency situation
  • Supports Executive Protection team or other security missions/assignments to include but not limited to transportation for executives and/or events
  • Performs other duties as assigned

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive.

pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $198,000.
