Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 8 years of professional job-related experience
  • 5 years of treasury management experience including cash flow forecasting
  • 4 years in a leadership/senior/supervisory capacity

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) , or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages and analyzes the company’s short-term rolling 90 day cash flow forecasts using regression analysis and time-series liquidity analysis/reporting, implements changes to improve the processes and accuracy, identifies and summarizes significant deviations from forecast

 

• Delivers value-added business analysis, experiential expertise, and defines and reports meaningful financial and operational forecasts that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making

 

• Administers bank account openings and closures; collaborates with banking partners, Legal, and Regulatory Compliance for supporting Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and credit requirements; maximizes efficiency of bank account structure and prepares cost benefit analyses of fees; assists with developing RFP’s for treasury services every 3 years, makes recommendations, and participates in the implementation of new banking services and products; develops scorecards to evaluate services and provides peer feedback to banking partners; meets quarterly with banking partners; develops, maintains, updates, creates and enhances bank account structure and funds flow diagrams

 

• Determines and prepares letter of directions for banking partners to ensure all bank accounts have fraud prevention products and services (payee positive pay, post no checks, lock box transmissions, ACH blocks/filters, etc.); serves as facilitator to the business/banking partner during implementation

 

• Manages debt portfolio including letters of credits; prepares and tracks notices for borrowings and continuation of debt as they become due; administers various inter-company loans between legal entities; ensures and monitors compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations

 

• Prepares and assists the Tax Department with the annual foreign bank account (FBAR) reporting; ensures Reval contains accurate and complete global bank account and signatory database to support US Department of Treasury Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR) compliance

 

• Creates and maintains annual interest expense and bank fee budgets utilizing BPC budget tool; tracks variances and provides appropriate explanation; performs monthly true ups for forecasted interest expense budget; partners with FP&A team to ensure budget is updated timely

 

• Interacts frequently with Executive Management; provides updates on cash positioning and treasury ongoing activities

 

• Directs the investing of the daily liquidity along with monitoring the counter-party allocations to ensure the exposure remains within internal compliance limits; approves wire transfers

 

• Leads priority projects and provides review and recommendations on current treasury processes and technologies that facilitate operational efficiencies; participates on a number of critical department-wide projects at any given time, including banking and investment related merger and acquisition activity

 

• Provides technical leadership; assists with the development and maintenance of automated data feeds between Treasury Workbench and other internal systems; performs SAP periodic testing for TRM module

 

• Works with Corporate IT to maintain and continually improve treasury information systems

 

• Builds, develops, documents and maintains accurate ad hoc reports for Corporate Finance

 

• Develops, trains and coaches team members for success in their career progression

 

• Performs other duties as required

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $115,000 to $160,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
