Job Summary

Within Aflac Global Investments (GI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Aflac, Inc., the Investments Associate is part of the Portfolio Analytics team with a main focus in supporting the Office of the CIO. As a member, the individual will work closely with the GI Senior Investments Management team to meet coordinate and prepare materials for senior investment and board committees.  The individual should possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written), and while understanding your audience(s) and meeting highly structured timelines.    Understanding Asset Class knowledge: Fixed Income (core/core+), Private Assets, and/or Alternatives is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate materials for various investment committees and presentations for senior management, Board of Directors, and external audiences
  • Collaborate with the Global Investments front office team and various business partners, including, Investment Accounting, Risk Management, Legal and Investor Relations
  • Manage, analyze and review quality of data to ensure relevant internal and external sources of data are consistently and timely updated, documented and stored
  • Advance reporting processes and BI tools to drive efficiencies, automate, and strengthen speed and accuracy of data and analytics
  • Conduct ad hoc projects, analyses and provide other support relevant to stakeholders as required



  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a portfolio analyst and/or portfolio management support, financial analysis, investments accounting, and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance Engineering or Computational Finance or related field; CFA or work towards CFA certification is a plus


  • Experience is asset management or financial services preferred, working knowledge of asset class: Fixed Income (core/core+), Private Assets, and/or Alternatives.
  • Comfortable managing and analyzing large data sets in Excel; strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to ensure data integrity
  • Superior presentation skills, with ability to synthesize data and design slides with crisp messaging for executive audience
  • Demonstrated track record or working knowledge of BI tools to proactively drive reporting efficiencies, automate, and advance analytics
  • Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple deliverables independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills; ability to work effectively with other individuals and departments
  • Comfortable working with and communicating with across all levels of management
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative data management, analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to successfully present and communicate results of the analysis
  • Working knowledge of investments and global capital markets, with experience applying critical thinking and investments analysis effectively in insurance and/or financial organizations
  • Ability to multi-task, execute on goals, prioritize and meet deadlines; ability to solve problems
  • Self-motivated; demonstrated ability to working in a highly collaborative team environment


Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills - including full suite of MS Office products
  • Advanced Power Point and other presentation software
  • Programming skills ( e.g. Python, VBA) a plus
