Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

  • Bachelor's Degree Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in communications or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Leads employee volunteers program through solicitation and evaluation of volunteer opportunities, and communication within employee base in order to increase employee community engagement and provide compelling results that aid in Aflac's awards submissions.

 

• Develops supporting collateral and presentations to engage key internal and external stakeholders in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs as well as continue to strengthen Aflac's reputation and raise awareness, specifically in the area of citizenship.

 

• Creates, manages and optimizes customer experiences to increase awareness, understanding, and adoption of CSR program(s) with key stakeholders.

 

• Maintains positive business relations with hospitals, facilities and organizations to ensure persistency among existing accounts and program(s).

 

• Identifies and expands CSR program(s) prospects in key markets for Aflac, such as the My Special Aflac Duck

 

• Partnership engagement: Identify, on-board, and nurture relationships to further the mission of Aflac's CSR program(s). This includes (but not limited to) managing regular meetings with Empath Labs, Children’s Miracle Network and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center to align on key deliverables, oversight of program development, etc.

 

• Attends conferences and serves as a representative of the CSR program(s)

 

• Plans, manages, implements and executes philanthropic events relative to the overall CSR strategy, to enhance the Aflac brand and raise funds for pediatric cancer, including paid media and digital execution.

 

• Accurately tracks agent and employee donations and responds to inquiries regarding Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center donations; oversees the development and execution of the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center video and other related events.

 

• Maintains clearly documented project plans, timelines and budgets for CSR initiatives, shepherds contracts through procurement and meets established deadlines and budget parameters within plans.

 

• Benchmarks CSR programs at other corporations and makes recommendations for improvement.

 

• Assists with needs that result from donations (i.e. donation related ads, attendees, in-kind donations etc.)

 

• Performs other related duties and special projects as required

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $90,000 to $120,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
