Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. 
  • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

• Ability to review audit results data and to perform root cause analysis

 

• Demonstrated proficiency in all auditor competencies identified in CQA Body of Knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and telephone customer service skills to effectively interact with customers, executive management, and external business contacts

Education & Experience Required

  • Associate's Degree In a related field
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Successful completion of internal quality auditor training curriculum and consistent practice of skills learned in training
  • Two years of applicable work experience in auditing, quality, or process improvement

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree In a related field
  • CQIA audit certification or equivalent certification required, or at least four years of work experience as Quality Auditor I
  • ISO internal auditor training

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs peer review with Quality team; reviews audit data collected for consistency of error attributes assigned; reviews reports prepared by audit team

 

• Reviews audit data, identifies process gaps to be identified in final audit report, performs analysis, conducts root cause analysis, makes recommendations, and prepares reports including executive summaries; may present recommendations and reports in meetings

 

• Identifies, documents, and updates administrative rules and provides information to communications’ teams for documenting of procedures and in accordance with established format and style guidelines; reviews from a business unit specialist perspective and provides recommendations for clarification and additional documentation; updates administrative rules as appropriate; communicates changes to administrative rules and impacts to operational efficiency to divisional management; acts as subject matter expert (SME) in the development of business system rules

 

• Audits/monitors program performance after implementation of corrective action plan(s) to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation; participates in division-initiated projects and tasks

 

• May provide quality overview training for business unit new hires

 

• May research current quality concepts to assist the division with implementation of concepts to improve processes

 

• Performs other related duties as required

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is$45,000 to $65,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
