Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. 
  • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Six to eight years of job-related experience.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment of overseeing positive business development that drives organizational revenue and growth
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, entrepreneurial, management, and communication skills.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads the overall support of sales and recruiting strategies, with efforts to increase adoption and revenue, growth and stabilizing credibility and relationships, implementing stable acquisition and services processes, leveraging and enhancing distribution, and working closely with leadership to develop a customized package of products and services.

 

  • Responsible for partnering with Aflac’s sales teams to assist with growing sales, producers and distribution partners within assigned region; supports the development of new accounts and expanding existing accounts, including training and development of the sales teams to effectively position products in the market and assist with customer meetings as needed.

 

  • Develop new and innovative plans for the recruitment and retention of a sales force by collaborating with territory offices, sales distribution teams, and other key stakeholders to implement recruiting and sales strategies tailored to an assigned regional market aligned to overall company goals.

 

  • Works with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and resources; develops, writes and edits comprehensive RFP documents, ensuring clarity, completeness, and adherence to organizational standards; analyze the RFP process and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

 

  • Review and evaluate received proposals based on predefined criteria and assist in the selection of the most suitable suppliers.

 

  • Ensures processes comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and coordinates with legal/compliance teams for contract negotiations etc.

 

  • Provides regular activity reporting to leadership team to provide insight to the public sector and producer/supplier pipeline, as well as Aflac sales distribution adoption within assigned region.

 

  • Initiates, facilitates, manages and builds new and existing client and partner relationships.

 

  • Provides regular activity reporting to leadership team to help provide insight to the pipeline and Aflac sales distribution adoption within assigned region.

 

  • Supports continued growth and development of company-wide sales initiatives and business practice; provides feedback of competitive environment and beast practices within assigned region to ensure Aflac is positioned both from a sales, service, and offer standpoint to meet growth objectives.

 

  • Acts as a business leader in the recruitment, development, sales, and delivery of new solutions to new and existing clients; leads and supports contract negotiations with assigned region and client base.

 

  • Willingness to travel on assignment.

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $125,000 - $150,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
