Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote. 

  • If you live within 50 miles of Columbus, GA, or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means that you will be expected to work at an Aflac office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home within the continental US for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. 

  • If you live more than 50 miles from Columbus, GA, or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions when you are requested to come to the office based on business needs. Any requests to come to the office will be communicated to you in advance.

• Extensive experience in negotiating IT Professional Services, Cloud Services, Hardware, and Software contracts.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree In Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field
  • 10 years of professional job related work experience, 5 years management experience
  • Experience managing vendor relationships or other outsourced service providers in a highly diverse environment

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Defines and performs the preparation, negotiation, and management of specific agreements, contracts, quotes, proposals, and resulting vendor relationships

 

• Lead a team focused on day-to-day vendor engagement, escalations, identifying new opportunities with business partners, and reporting on and managing vendor performance

 

• Serves as a liaison between internal partners and vendors in support of IT services contracts to curtail risks and ensure alignment with corporate, legal, client, and business objectives, statement of work (SOW), RFx (RFI, RFQ, RFP) responses, and supporting documents in line with our policies and procedures

 

• Leads development and adoption of Vendor Management Office (VMO) governance, tools, guidance, and processes

 

• Drives supplier best practices across the IT function

 

• Defines IT's contract policy and standards, including implementing and managing the process for all technology contract reviews to address key 3rd party risks

 

• Review all IT contracts, including annual software renewals, subscriptions, and user licenses, to ensure alignment with the company's financial strategy and goals

 

• Manage critical partners, collaborators, and strategic supplier relationships, including ongoing 1:1s with key partners, monthly interactions with strategic partners, vendor scorecards, and monthly/quarterly updates for the internal VMO community

 

• Oversees all IT direct spend reporting and analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals automation

 

• Leads continued analysis of cost-saving opportunities for IT and track achievement of savings for forecasting and budgeting purposes

 

• Works with IT leaders to review and reconcile IT invoices/spending

 

• Performs other duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $235,000.
