PLADS Contract Develop Analyst

Job Summary

Provides fulfillment of Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Short-Term Disability & Long-Term Disability contracts, amendments, portability, and conversion policies on the correct forms and to the specifications provided on the amendment transmittal forms, applications, or onboarding documents. Works closely with forms filing area to be aware of state/form changes and assist in making timely and accurate updates to fulfillment documentation.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyzes sold case and underwriting documents in order to create new case and amendment certificates and policies for complex Group Life and Disability cases

 

• Maintains issue documents for smaller more standard cases

 

• Interprets prior carrier certificates and policies and compares to our company contracts to identify differences for larger clients

 

• Works to close the gap on differences with filing area and communicates these to client

 

• Participates as a subject matter expert in any contract automation project

 

• Provides contract clerical services to internal customer groups and supports staff in the processing of certificate and policy transactions to support the achievement of customer service standards

 

• Monitors contract automation processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement

 

• Accesses various systems to process sold case and underwriting data and analyzes this to facilitate decision making

 

• Identifies and complies with the main principles relevant to legal and regulatory controls that govern standard work practices

 

• Provides appropriate data and basic analysis for monthly new case reporting to support decision making

 

• Deploys a wide range of knowledge of contract automation, sold case and underwriting documents, to enable the provision of a first class service internally and externally, and act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience where appropriate

 

• Handles complex customer / distributor / broker / colleague queries or service requests using technical, contract, certificate, and policy knowledge to provide information and advice in order to deliver customer satisfaction in line with service standards

 

• Monitors contract automation processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement

 

• Collects and records new case information and issues documents in line with documented guidance and rules and prepares reports including commentary and an analysis of trends to facilitate decision making

 

• Carries out tasks, such as the preparation of issue documentation, to support the implementation of projects to time and quality standards

 

• Performs other duties as required

 

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree In a related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in the Analytics area
  • 3 or more years of Group Insurance experience in oversight of contract development analyst.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
