Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

- A strong understanding of business operations, polices, and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry, to include products, processes, and terminology
- Strong knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodology of project management, quality management, and change management
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration or a related field
- Two years of relevant professional experience with zero to two years of project management experience in a complex business environment
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- Successful completion of Aflac’s Project Management Certification or equivalent training

- Less than or equal to 10%
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, manages small and medium initiatives; provides support and the coordination of tasks and activities as assigned,
- Assists in creating and documenting project plans, identifying and securing resources requirements, including schedules and budgets, ensuring that deadlines and objectives are met ensures team members understand their respective responsibilities; track progress and follow up on outstanding items
- Provides updates on progress of projects and that leadership and stakeholders are properly informed and updated; ensures that projects continue to support goals and meet the functional needs of the business unit; tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans
- Maintains project documentation, including meeting minutes Manages the activities of project teams; facilitates consensus decision-making; and ensures that teams follow methodology selected for projects and produce quality deliverables
- Communicates issues and project status to leadership, senior management, impacted departments, and team members through reports and by facilitating and participating in project status update meetings
- Measures, analyzes, and reports results of projects and programs for continuous improvement; provides advice and support to departments in the implementation of key processes and initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned
Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $60,000 - $80,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
