Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

- Helps mentor and coach fellow UX Research team members
- Advanced UX Research skills
- Mastery in mixed UX research methodologies such as card sorting, click tests, tree tests, usability testing, competitive analysis, and moderated interviews
- Proficiency in developing UX research operational frameworks and standards, managing and evolving recruitment processes and research repositories
- Ability to successfully manage multiple research projects while ensuring timely delivery and coordinating cross functional teams
- Mastery in analyzing complex data sets, identifying significant patterns, and synthesizing findings into actionable insights
- Experience using UX research tools such as UserTesting/Userzoom, Great Question, Qualtrics, Dovetail, or other similar tools
- Proficiency in creating Customer Experience (CX) artifacts such as customer journey maps, personas, and service design blueprints
- Effective communication and collaboration
- Ability to engage and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders and leaders across the organization to help foster a user-centered culture
- Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for presenting research findings and influencing stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Possesses the ability to encourage others during moments of change or unexpected shifts in scope

Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Marketing, Behavioral Science, Computer Science or related field
- Six or more years of relevant experience in User Experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicates research insights that guide UX vision and strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
- Advocates for the adoption of user-centered design practices across various levels of leadership
- Looks across the digital product portfolio and identifies research opportunities based on business goals and key performance indicators
- Works with teammates to review research and handle any risks before publishing, making sure the insights are accurate and address business needs
- Plans and leads strategic research and provides guidance to teammates on evaluative studies as needed
- Drives improvements in user research operations by developing core frameworks, standards and tools
- Collaborates with business and product teams to identify align, and design innovation opportunities
- Mentors and develops team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Works closely with product management, engineering and other departments to integrate UX research into the product development process
Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $130,000 to $168,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
