Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and function as an advisor on professional issues with Aflac’s senior management, and internal and external business contacts.
- Excellent relationship management and people management skills, including strong organization skills to prioritize tasks and coordinate resources effectively.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making abilities to make complex and timely decisions.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, including fostering a collaborative team environment of cross functional cooperation.
- Demonstrate understanding of industry trends and best practices relevant to the team and partner management function.
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or related field.
- Six years of demonstrated experience in account management and marketing program development. (large account experience preferred)
- Five years in a management or leadership role
- Experience working with internal and external resources to deliver effective programs and campaigns to meet specific business objectives.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

- External Aflac experience via external carrier or benefit administration experience
- Life, health, and accident insurance experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the Platform Consultant team, including clear goals, expectations, performance targets, and priorities.
- Develops and implements strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth through assigned strategic partnerships, aligning with overall organizational and team objectives.
- Develops innovative and creative approaches to build and maintain relationships; through a disciplined partner management approach, helps grow revenue by effectively managing, developing and retaining quality business relationships with premier platforms.
- Establishes mutual growth and operational goals with assigned partners on an annual basis.
- Serve as a thought leader within the organization and industry, representing Aflac at conferences, events, and industry forums to promote opportunities and initiatives.
- Acts as liaison between Aflac Group and Digital Distribution partners. Achieves targeted sales volume and maximizes market potential; supports account issues, develops marketing and sales strategies for assigned partnerships; strives to maintain and consistently enhance Aflac Group’s competitive position in the marketplace.
- Drives knowledge and understanding by collaborating with the marketing and communications team to develop and implement communication, training, and marketing approaches that positively impact sales and marketing activities for both internal and external partners.
- Develops and maintains a holistic view of Aflac offerings and competitor and market conditions nationally, and works to identify opportunities for efficiency or growth; stays abreast of current trends and best practices in enrollment and platform integrations.
- Takes part in key broker meetings, stewardship meetings, and finalist presentations as part of the overall relationship management strategy.
- Communicate regularly with organization leadership to provide updates on team activities, project progress, and other strategic initiatives.

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $193,000.
