Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
• An in-depth knowledge of the concepts of recruiting, testing, interviewing, selecting, hiring, statistical reporting; working knowledge of the principles, practices, concepts, federal and state laws, and regulations of other human resources areas
• An in-depth knowledge of the company’s organizational and functional structure, policies, and procedures
• Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office business suite software and an applicant tracking system
• A wide range of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision and business understanding
• Corporate recruiting experience preferred
• A broad understanding of the principles, practices, and concepts of federal and state laws and regulations and EEOC guidelines regarding employment issues such as recruiting, testing, interviewing, selecting, hiring, statistical reporting, etc.
• A basic understanding of other functional areas within human resources (employee benefits, employee relations, and compensation) and related concepts, and an understanding of federal and state laws and regulations, such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ADA
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Four to Six years of professional work related experience
- Experience must include a minimum of four years working within the recruiting field in a diverse work environment
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Under minimal supervision, performs the full recruitment life cycle, including creating and executing recruitment strategies, attracting talent, and candidate conversion; reviews and analyzes résumés and applications and conducts prescreen interviews of applicants to verify qualifications
• Identifies key talent and drives the recruiting process; recruits and maintains a qualified pool of applicants via a variety of sources such as professional organizations, Internet, job fairs, newspaper, and advertisements
• Arranges necessary testing and refers qualified applicants to hiring management; develops and coordinates advertising activities and recruiting functions; communicates staffing procedures and updates to management
• Establishes new and ongoing working relationships with internal partners, external organizations and outside passive candidates to develop an extensive recruiting network; negotiates salary offers and service fees with candidates and recruiting agencies
• Works with the Compensation Department to determine appropriate salary offers and makes recommendations to hiring manager regarding selection and total compensation
• Coordinates travel arrangements and accommodations for selected candidates; assists in approval and administration of relocation agreements
• Coordinates the administration of all related testing for internal and external applicants to include reference, background, and credit checks on all possible new hires
• Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with management, providing prompt and efficient recruitment efforts, and ensuring compliance with established personnel policies, procedures, and legal requirements
• Researches, analyzes, and compiles statistical data reports for HR management and makes recommendations to enhance employment practices
• Maintains excellent relationships with division leadership and hiring managers; proactively acts a liaison across the organization on all levels to understand recruitment requirements and to act on appropriate deliverable items

Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $65,000 to $85,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
