Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

• Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial systems and treasury management software

 

• Knowledge of Treasury related payments, EFT or digital payments including credit card

 

• Knowledge and understanding of bank fees and credit card analysis

 

• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

 

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

 

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

 

• Excellent analytical skills

 

• Attention to detail and accuracy

 

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 4 years of professional job-related work experience
  • Project management, Compliance, or Treasury experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

  • SAP Experience
  • Insurance industry experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs the day-to-day tasks involved with Aflac’s payments including working with credit card and bank fee related issues.

 

• Provides support for Aflac ecommerce activities and other digital initiatives that involve payments.

 

• Monitors for fraudulent activity and identifies ways to mitigate payments fraud, including supporting fraud scoring programs, and identifying opportunities to provide a more secure experience.

 

• Supports the credit card processing program by working closely with Financial and IT to implement strategies to reduce credit card processing fees and charge backs and coordination of PCI compliance, while ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

 

• Prepares accurate and timely Aflac payment reporting, including dashboards, end of period reporting, quarterly reports.

 

• Analyzes monthly bank fees and identifies cost savings opportunities.

 

• Maintains and provides reports of comparative bank analysis charges, FDIC fees, and earnings credit monitoring.

 

• Assists with the preparation of presentations and ad hoc analyses regarding payments for review by Aflac’s Leadership Team.

 

• Assists with the analysis of large data sets and identifies trends as well as risks and opportunities around payment programs.

 

• Documents and maintains Treasury fee management policies and procedures.

 

• Researches and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner and escalates more difficult tasks to senior members of the team.

 

• Responds to audit inquiries in a timely manner; as required, makes calls to the bank directly to clarify adjustments or to clarify items on the bank statements.

 

• Completes ad hoc projects as directed. Assists with special projects on an as needed basis; provides support for all Treasury related initiatives.

 

• Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

 

• Performs other duties as required.

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $75,000 to $105,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
