Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Paul S. Amos - Campus E for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid.   • Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and industry requirements, and standard concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to the insurance industry

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field 
  • 5 - 6 years of related work experience 

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Experience developing and implementing associate and vendor scorecards and strong working knowledge of performance measurement concepts

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages contract relationships, expectations, and results by serving as liaison between Aflac and operations-based vendor (OBV) serving as single point of contact for OBV 
  • Defines and manages the frontline performance management process for OBV relationship, including developing and managing the contractual rewards and penalty program, ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures, federal and state regulations 
  • Conducts negotiations and coordinates joint activities with contractors and OBV providing remittance processing and other service activities 
  • Develops and refines service level agreements (SLA) and ensures vendor compliance; manages the negotiation of SLA and ongoing enhancements based on the changing partnership environment and works directly with appropriate business unit representatives to complete all necessary contract updates 
  • Monitors and manages vendor performance metrics/scorecard; develops mitigation plans to correct sub-optimal performance and enforces penalty and award clauses in vendor contract 
  •  Standardizes and coordinates implementation of procedures and process enhancements and implements business rule changes with OBV 
  • Assists with the alignment of strategic plans and the annual budget between the division and OBV; advises, consults, and coordinates activities with division management, other departments within the division and OBV 
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $$95,000 to $125,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. 

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
